The monsoons rejuvenate the many waterfalls that cascade down in Goa. Apart from Dudhsagar, there are many others that come to torrential life during the rains. Timeline Goa takes you on a trip around Goa’s sparkling waterfalls….
The Dudhsagar waterfalls are by far the most famous and easily accessible. Whichever part of the State you may be in, Kulem station is the one you have to get to. From there, jeep services take you to the base of the waterfalls, a popular picnic spot.
If you are seeking something more adventurous, take any train leaving Kulem station to Dudhsagar, hop off and walk along the tracks to the places where the falls gush out from the mountain into a small, but dangerous basin.
The walk through the tunnel can be a bit nerve wrecking with the warning hoots of trains. These train schedules are sporadic, and the more adventurous often jump onto a goods train back to reach Kulem station.
