Can you ever think of quitting a job that gives you handsome salary and a celebrity status, that too when you are young enough to cherish it and reach new heights?
But there are some crazy people in this world, who jump into a flooded river and start swimming against the tide to inspire other crazies.
Suchita Narvekar and Priyanka Otavnekar, known to the world of radio as RJ Suchi and RJ Priyanka on Radio Mirchi, have quit their jobs, starting a new and highly ambitious venture, in the field of beauty and slimming.
‘Relooking – Beaute Minceeur’ is just not a French beauty centre they have started in Goa, but they have taken a franchise for the whole India, beginning with Goa.
“It’s not a mere business for us. The sky is wide open and we want to fly high and high”, says Suchita, an equally competent theatre and film actor and a writer.
As ‘fighting friends’ at Radio Mirchi, both talented youngsters wanted to do something different. The passion kept them hooked to Internet, searching for a challenging gamble.
Taking a chance, they emailed their profiles to the Paris-based beauty and slimming centre, which redefines the set norms of beauty treatment in the weight loss industry.
Sensing their enthusiasm, the three-decade old French company set aside their norms and invited them to Paris for 15-day training by taking care of their stay and daily expenses, except the travel and also ‘imported’ a translator from England specially for the Indian duo.
They arrived in Paris on 13 November, the day whole world was shaken up with the bomb blasts that left 130 people dead and hundreds wounded.
But this attack neither dampened their spirit nor their enthusiasm to ‘relook’ at their ambition. They successfully completed their training and came back to have more training sessions on Skype.
Priyanka, originally from Benaulim in Salcete, in fact made friends with a Banaulikar family staying in Paris and even toured Disneyland.
“We wanted to do something different. We were fed up of our monotonous job in front of a microphone, entertaining people”, says Priyanka.
Having 100 stores in 20 countries across the world, they want to spread the network of ‘Relooking’ all over India, which is becoming body and beauty conscious.
Using latest technology and even freezing machines, ‘Relooking’ provides services on nutritional rebalancing, BMI analysis, volume loss programme, anti-cellulite programme, Cyro care, Lipocavitation, cosmetic face lift and what not.
It was little difficult to find both Suchita and Priyanka together to talk to at Models Legacy in Taleigao as the news had already started spreading about their new experiment in slimming.
Goa Urban Cooperative Bank has also decided not to discourage the women enthusiasm in entrepreneurship, which would convert Goa into a training centre for India.
And, it would also be a Headquarters of all the franchises to be set up across the country, unlike what we Goans are used to – the Headquarters in the Metros and the top bosses dictating terms to the Goan unemployed.
More than the reasonable prices at ‘Relooking’, what relaxes your body is the beauty of the heart of these two young Goan entrepreneurs.
They are actually providing a ‘Relook’ at the professional capacity and entrepreneurial skill of Goan youth, who are today not job-seekers but job-givers; throughout India…
